My daughter and I could often be found on the hallway floor drawing together on big rolls of paper when this volume was made. Monsters are always fun to draw, and underpants are about the funniest thing in the universe, so that year, we started drawing a steady stream of Monsters in Underpants.We were also spending more time in the country on the weekends and had amassed quite an eclectic collection of field guides. Marrying the two felt natural.
